Which events could I track from phishing emails?
Symbol Security allows companies to track many events from phishing campaigns. Here is the list of events that we extract from your users iteration with phishing emails:
- Emails Sent
- Emails Opened
- Clicks (This is called "Phish Clicks" in the app).
- Emails Bounced (When email could not be delivered for any reason, it will be marked as bounced).
- Potential Shared Data (This event happens when some of your users attempt to enter information on the phishing landing pages).
When running your first campaign, you will be able to see the events on the dashboard page. From this page you can see an overview of how your users are reacting to phishing emails. However by clicking on any number of events from the dashboard page or campaign details page you will be redirected to a screen where you will see specific information regarding the events registered in your company. Here is some of the information you could see:
- IP Address where the email was clicked.
- Date/Time Stamp
- Browser
- Device
- Campaign Name
- Template Name
Also from the bar chart in the dashboard you will be able to see the events comparison between previous months, weeks or years depending on the period of time you have chosen.
