How to change summary report frequencies

Summary Reports are automatically sent to Owner admins and non-admin recipients at two different frequencies: Monthly and Weekly.

Monthly Frequency

When using the monthly frequency, Symbol sends the summary report email to the Owner admin(s) and/or non-admin recipients on the 1st of every month at 9:00 AM EST. This report email includes a summary of all the events that occurred across the platform for the most recent month.

Weekly Frequency

When using the weekly frequency, Symbol sends the summary report email to the Owner admin(s) and/or non-admin recipients every Monday at 9:00 AM EST, including a summary of all the events that occurred across the platform for the most recent week.

How to change the Summary Report Frequency

The frequency of a summary report can be changed at any time at the MSP level or at the Child Company level:

  • MSP Level: Navigate to the settings of the MSP account by clicking on the avatar image at the right side of the header and selecting the option "MSP Settings". Then, click on the Settings tab and navigate to MSP Summary Reports section to edit the frequency. (By doing this action from the MSP portal, it will affect the frequency of all your child companies.)
  • Child and Non-MSP companies: In order to change the summary report frequency for a specific child company, navigate to the Company Portal, click on the Settings tab, then navigate to the General settings tab and locate the section Summary Reports, then click on the Edit button to change it.

Once you have selected the new frequency, ensure you click on the "Save" button to apply the changes.


Note

  • If there is no new data or variance in the data to show for the past month or week, then the summary reports won't be generated or sent to the recipients.
  • You can edit the summary report frequency whenever you consider it necessary.
