Cloning a Program Template

Learn how to clone a program template from the Command Center.

Cloning a Program Template lets you quickly create a new template based on an existing one. When you clone a template, the system creates a copy with the same configuration and content, appends “(copy)” to the title by default, and opens it in the same form used to create a new Program Template so you can review and edit the details before saving.

Ways to clone a Program Template

You can clone a Program Template in two ways: from the Program Templates list or from the template’s details page.

Option 1: From the Program Templates list
  1. Navigate to the Program Templates list.
  2. Locate the template you want to clone.
  3. Click the three dots (more options) icon next to that template.
  4. Select Clone.
Option 2: From the Program Template details page

  1. Open the Program Template you want to clone.
  2. On the details page, click the Clone button.

What happens after you clone

  • A new Program Template is created with the same information as the original.
  • The system automatically adds “(copy)” to the end of the template title.
  • The cloned template opens in the same form used to create a new Program Template, where you can:
    • Update the name.
    • Adjust the content.
    • Modify any settings.
  • After reviewing and making changes, save the new template to make it available for use.
